DIGGERS™ Mineral Turpentine is a solvent commonly used for thinning oil-based paints and cleaning paint brushes and equipment after painting.

Application:

  • Prepare your workspace – Choose a well-ventilated area for your DIY or surface prep project, such as cleaning a cricket bat before oiling or painting.
  • Thin oil-based paints – Follow paint manufacturer directions and add Mineral Turpentine as needed to achieve the right consistency for smooth application.
  • Clean and prep surfaces – Use DIGGERS™ Mineral Turpentine to remove wax, polish, and contaminants from timber or other surfaces before applying linseed oil or paint.
  • Mix with linseed oil – For easier application, mix DIGGERS™ Linseed Oil (Raw or Pale Boiled) 50:50 with Mineral Turpentine after surface cleaning.
  • Clean paint brushes – Soak brushes in Mineral Turpentine, squeeze out paint, then rinse with strong soapy water for thorough cleaning.

Tip: When cutting glass, dip the cutter wheel in Mineral Turpentine prior to cutting – this lubricates
the cutting wheel and produces a cleaner cut.
