A low flash point, oxygenated solvent with a characteristic odour. MEK is a versatile, inexpensive, work-horse ketone suitable for acrylic coating formulations, as a clean-up solvent for polymeric manufacturing and in specialty chemical formulations.

• Solubility – MEK is soluble in polar and non-polar organic materials making it an ideal component in coatings, thinners and reducer formulations. MEK will effect a slower evaporation rate for a premium gloss finish.
